Partners at K&H Development and MPV Properties closed on 3.28 acres at 13425 South Tryon St. They expect to break ground this summer with an anticipated completion of spring 2018.
Charlotte City Council recently approved rezoning to allow 80,000 square feet of climate-controlled self storage space on the property. It will have two two-story buildings and approximately 500 storage units.
It's architecture will focus on a shop-storefront style, characterized by brick inset and glass facades.
“We believe the proposed project will fill the climatized storage need of the rapidly growing Rivergate/Steel Creek communities located around the Highway 160 and South Tryon intersection,” said George Macon with MPV. “We are excited to be partnering with K&H Development on the development, who has significant experience with similar storage projects across the region.”
George Macon and Mark Newell, with MPV, represented the buyer.
