U-Haul Expands Self Storage Footprint in El Paso

Local customer demand for more secure and affordable U-Haul self storage is being met with the recent acquisition of a 7.28-acre property at 10485 Dyer St.

U-Haul Storage of Sun Valley now offers customers more than 500 self storage units with drive-up convenience. U-Haul upgraded the existing storage facility with an automated gate system and will be adding RV, boat and vehicle storage spaces.

"Sun City Self Storage was already a U-Haul neighborhood dealer, so this process (of assuming ownership) has been really easy," said Juan Candia, U-Haul Company of Southern New Mexico president. "We are excited to reuse this existing facility and meet the self storage needs of the El Paso community."

The 87,581-square-foot facility was built in 2008.

U-Haul began operations here on Jan. 31. U-Haul currently offers a total of 2,529 self storage units in El Paso. The five Company-owned and –operated facilities in the city limits cover a total of 251,465 square feet. There are also 28 neighborhood dealers offering a variety of U-Haul products and services in El Paso.
