SkyView Advisors (SVA), the Tampa, FL based self storage real estate firm, is pleased to announce the portfolio sale of R&R American ULock in Northwest Indiana. R&R American ULock is a 5 property portfolio with 164,640 net rentable square feet of non-climate controlled units. Ryan Clark, Senior Vice President and Jay Crotty, Managing Partner, at SkyView Advisors represented the seller, DCG Enterprises, LLC and the buyer.
Ryan Clark, the deal lead for this transaction stated, “The buyer entered the self storage market within the last 18 months, demonstrating the continued strong inflow of capital into the asset class, as well as demand for storage in tertiary markets. The five self storage facilities were built from 1989-2007 and the portfolio consists of 916 non-climate controlled storage units and 37 spaces for boat and vehicle parking. The units range in size from 60 to 880 square feet. The facilities were all market leaders and the dominant player in a 3 mile radius area around them. Together they are the dominant self storage facility in the 200 square mile area.
