U-Haul has acquired a self storage facility in Vineland and opened its first company-owned location in the city, it announced Thursday.
The Arizona-based moving and storage company purchased the property at 2290 S. Delsea Drive, the former site of Parrish Self Storage, in August, and has opened U-Haul Moving & Storage of South Vineland on the property. The business offers self storage, truck and trailer rentals, moving supplies and more.
“I am excited that we finally have a company-owned location dedicated to the tri-city area,” General Manager Jess Omrod said in a prepared statement. “This is a fantastic location and I am looking forward to serving our customers. This community will receive quality products and services at the lowest possible cost.”
The company is renovating the facility over the course of the next year, it said, adding storage units and more to the 9.58-acre property.
“Reusing this building is a huge advantage for us,” U-Haul Company of Southern New Jersey President Paul Kelly said in a statement. “We were able to immediately provide our moving and self storage services to the Vineland community while benefiting the environment through our U-Haul sustainability practices.”
Kelly said the acquisition should create six or more jobs, through the business and renovation process.
